About the Human Trafficking Rescue Project:
“After receiving funding in January of 2007 from the Office for Victims of Crime and the Department of Justice, Hope House and the Independence Police Department are spearheading the Human Trafficking Rescue Project. This project consists of two parts: The Working Group of federal, local and state law enforcement agencies; and the Coalition formed by non-governmental and faith based organizations. This task force will continue to rescue victims of human trafficking.”
