About
What is Stop Traffic?
The grassroots movement of students in the fight against human trafficking has been powerful, with students pairing with communities, non-government organizations, and legislators to provide services for victims and pass legislation to combat the issue.
Stop Traffic is bringing the fight to Columbia by taking the following actions:
- hosting films and speakers about human trafficking
- hosting fundraisers for anti-human trafficking efforts
- cooperating with local and regional organizations to combat trafficking in the Midwest
Our year-ending event will be the 2008 Anti-Human Trafficking Conference, which will host students, community members, and activists during a two-day summit of activism and change. Delegates will write letters to media outlets, connect with anti-human trafficking organizations, and network with other involved people to learn new ways to lead anti-human trafficking campaigns.
